We showcase plants to create those vibrant, colourful and inviting gardens

A beautiful garden will contain a well thought out arrangement, and use of plants.

At Plant Tactics we showcase plants to create those vibrant, green and inviting gardens. A place to admire, relax, eat and play, and even to yield a harvest.

Our landscape designs include usable spaces, embedded with good design solutions, often at low cost to solve a myriad of site issues (i.e. sloping site, lack of privacy and prevailing winds).

We are excited about plants but also gardens based on organic gardening principles. Gardens should be healthy and safe places, where you can pick and eat your fruit or vegetables free of chemical residues.

Have a chat to us, if you are considering installing expensive retaining walls and other structures. There may be options that will enhance both your garden and bank balance, with a much softer and natural appearance.

Design Process

Our Landscape design service caters for clients that require detailed drawings for a contractor to install their garden, or the keen DIY garden project.

We will walk you through a ‘four step’ process to deliver a custom designed garden that meets your particular requirements and taste.

Initial Meeting

The important first step, will set the direction of the landscape design.

We need to understand your objectives for the garden, function, favourite garden styles, including any site constraints, problem areas and opportunities.

Site Analysis

We progress to site analysis (and measure) to draw up a concept plan.

We will consider trees to be retained, sun exposure, prevailing winds, neighbouring views and soil type.

Photographs of the site will be taken for reference back in the studio.

Concept Design

The EXCITING step, where the landscape design really comes together! Creative ideas are now illustrated.

The concept plan will focus on function or uses in the garden (entertaining, play, edible gardens), location of key structures (pergola, deck, swimming pool) materials and main plant species.

We will work with you to refine the design to meet your objectives.

Final Design

Once we have discussed the concept plan, we can then make the necessary changes and finalise all drawings.

You will be provided with a copy of the landscape design ready for quoting by a contractor, or installation by yourself.
